      Pickup in Tirana

      Pickup from your hotel and drive north towards the mountains above Krujë.

      Krujë Castle & Skanderbeg Museum

      The stronghold where Skanderbeg held out against Ottoman sieges in the 15th century. Inside the walls, visit the Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, set in a house from 1764 that shows how a wealthy family once lived.

      Old Bazaar of Krujë

      A cobbled bazaar lined with wooden shops selling carpets, felt qeleshe hats, embroidery, copperware and antiques — one of the best places in Albania for handmade souvenirs.

      Rozafa Castle

      The hilltop fortress tied to the legend of Rozafa, the young woman walled into its foundations. From the ramparts you look over Lake Shkodër — the largest lake in the Balkans — and the Buna and Drin rivers. At the foot of the hill stands the 18th-century Lead Mosque.

      Lunch in Shkodër

      Lunch in town — fish from the lake and traditional northern dishes are local favourites.

      Shkodër old town

      Walk the pedestrian Kolë Idromeno street with its restored houses and cafés, see St Stephen's Cathedral and the Great Mosque and, if time allows, the Marubi National Museum of Photography with its remarkable archive of historic photographs.

   7. ~15 min drive

      Mesi Bridge

      An elegant 18th-century Ottoman stone bridge with 13 arches, stretching 108 m across the Kir river — a perfect last photo stop.

      Back in Tirana

      We leave at around 17:15 and drive back south, with drop-off at your hotel.
